Inside the city
Eric Peyret, Timothée Talard
Eric Peyret began his career as an artist with the creation of large murals on wall panels in Italy, the Middle East, Australia, Brazil and the United States. Since 1998, the artist devoted himself to painting on canvas. He begins with works inspired by his paintings and then became fascinated with American megacities with works on the hyper-realism. Through numerous work sessions in the U.S, including helicopter flights, Eric Peyret immersed himself in the heart of these new world cities in order to transcribe them to us with such thoroughness that he is now a recognized artist, exhibited internationally. The work of Timothée Talard is inspired by populations considered marginal, by alternative lifestyles and life choices such as "underground" culture as well as representatives of new "street" cultures. His paintings and watercolors focus on the strength of the subject represented only in the empty space of the painting on black or white backgrounds. The subject himself does not entirely appear, he is perceived through the arrangement of shapes, when the background is black the subject changes appearance depending on light and viewing angle. A pioneer among his contemporaries, this young French artist became the muse of the ready-to-wear brand agnès b in 2010 which sought out his creative the woman and man portrayal of tomorrow.
